What is a Thermal Cooking Bag?

Think of your Thermal Cooking Bag as A Slow Cooker without a Plug!

Just think of your Thermal Cooking Bag as a Slow-cooker without a plug. Your food cooks long and slow without the need for additional expensive fuel.

Meals with just Minutes of Fuel instead of hours of oven time!

Most meals can be cooked with just five minutes of fuel from your very own stove top! Soups, stews, baked potatoes and much more - using only 5 minutes of fuel!

Feed your Family - but don't be a slave to the kitchen!

Good, healthy, filling food on a budget should never take you hours of prep and slaving over a hot stove. In just a few minutes you can have dinner on the table!

Better Food when you don't have to budget for so much fuel!

No longer do you need to buy the expensive tender cuts - you can buy cheap and seasonal basics and still create wonderful meals without overspending on fuel.

Why I am Taking a Stand!

As Food and Fuel Prices creep ever higher, I see more and more parents at their wit's end trying to figure out how to make the money stretch to the end of the month!

With so  many people having to choose between "Heat or Eat" - it's unacceptable that children should be hungry or cold in a modern affluent world!

So I am doing what I can - creating tools so that families can cook in a much cheaper way, even when they are keeping one eye on the whirring meter.

How it works

How Does a Thermal Cooking Bag Save me Money?

  • You heat your food in your pan for 3 - 5 minutes

  • Just 3 - 5 minutes is usually enough to raise the temperature of your food and the pot it is in to a high enough temperature that residual heat can do the rest.

  • You transfer your hot pan to the Thermal Cooking Bag!

  • You conserve your heat by wrapping your pot up tight in the highly insulated Thermal Cooking Bag so it can continue to hold the temperature high enough to cook your dish.

  • You leave your food to cook in it's residual heat!

  • Now - with no additional fuel costs the food cooks over time without your intervention.. Soups are savoury, stews are tender and beans perfectly and gently cooked through. .

    Cooking Pot

    What size of pot?
Well, how many people are you cooking for?
I recommend 600ml per person as a rough guide.
Check your kitchen for a sturdy pot with a lid - and no long handle.
I use a 2 litre cast Iron Enamel Pot and it happily feeds four. I found this at a Car Boot Sale for £3.00 as it was "too heavy" for the owner.

    Happy Hunting!

I love my cooking bag. You put your ingredients in a pot, heat it for up to ten minutes then slip it in the bag and forget about it until dinner time. Easy peasy. You end up with a delicious, healthy dinner that's piping hot..

I wish I had had one when my kids were small. I take mine on holiday and have even put a Bolognese in first thing, packed the car and put the bag in the footwell. Dinner on the table as soon as we were unpacked at the other end.
